Card Of The Week April 1

On Opening Day Friday, Masanori Ishikawa of the Swallows took a no-hitter into the ninth against the Giants at the Tokyo Dome before Hayato Sakamura broke it up with a one out single.  It was the first time the Giants had ever been shutout on Opening Day.  Here's Ishikawa's Calbee rookie card from 2002 (#093):

Must have been something in the air on Opening Day as Kazuki Yoshimi of the Dragons took a perfect game into the 8th against the Carp.  I see now the drawback of not understanding Japanese as I try to watch games on Justin.tv - I had both games on at one time or another Friday morning and didn't realize there was a no-hitter going in either game.
